Psychoeducational Assessment

A psychoeducational assessment is completed to help understand a student’s learning strengths and needs. Examples of diagnoses that may result from the completion of a psychoeducational assessment include Learning Disability, Intellectual Disability, ADHD, anxiety, and/or depression depending on the referral concern.

All assessments include:

• Interviews

• Completion of norm referenced and/or standardized measures

• Scoring and Interpretation

• Report writing and a copy of the final report with recommendations

• A session to review the assessment results and ask questions

The assessment measures used will be selected by the psychologist based on the referral concern. Fees for assessment are billed at $200/hour in accordance with the Psychology Association of Saskatchewan recommended fee schedule. The number of hours an assessment takes varies based on the referral question and can range between 7 to 13 hours of service. Please contact me to discuss your assessment needs and the cost associated with the assessment.

Therapy and Consultation Services

Virtual and In-person sessions are available.

I have experience providing therapy and consultation services related to children and adolescents (ages 3 to 18) in the following areas:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Self Esteem

  • Emotional Regulation

  • Behavioural Challenges

  • Social Difficulties

  • Sleep Challenges

  • Learning Difficulties and ADHD

During the first session, we review informed consent for services, discuss the reasons you are seeking therapy and/or consultation services, your child’s developmental history, and your goals for therapy.

For children aged 5 to 11, I typically meet with parents/caregivers on their own for the first session. For adolescents aged 12 and older, for the first session I usually meet with the adolescent and their parent(s) for the first half of the session and then with the adolescent for the remainder of the session. Parents are always given the opportunity to speak with me before and after each session. For preschool aged children (e.g., ages 3 and 4), I am happy to provide consultation services regarding how parents can support their child’s needs at home or in the community.

NOTE: All legal guardians must consent prior to the beginning of therapy services.
